Helen Manderson

Helen MandersonHelen is one of the Directors of North Lincolnshire Council with overall responsibility for Business Development, this includes
Human Resources, Payroll, Learning & Development and Health & Safety. She performs akey role as a member of the council’s executive management team contributing to the effective strategic management and long term planning of various functions provided to North Lincolnshire residents by our 5500 employees.

Helen provides The HR People with strategic direction, strong leadership skills and a customer focused environment. With her extensive 30 year career within HR, 6 years in the private sector and 24 years in the public sector, Helen has held a variety of job roles so is able to fully understand her customers issues and offer support that is practical, creative, business focused and communicated in plain English. Her practical experience and significant HR knowledge is backed up with qualifications and development in Leadership & Management, CIM Consultancy, Mentoring, Systems Thinking and Helen also holds Chartered Member status of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, so this is definitely someone you need to talk to!

One of Helen’s greatest passions is creating an environment to watch her employees grow; identifying their potential and watching them increase in skills and confidence.

She supports people through difficult times whilst staying true to The HR People’s purpose and values, always determined to get it right for her customers and offer a professional and efficient service all of the time.

She will give you the confidence to run your business and deal with all employee issues!

Jo Andrew

Jo AndrewJo is HR Operational & Commercial Lead for HR and Payroll Services , with management of the HR and Payroll teams supporting over 70
schools and academies in the area as well as all staff employed by the council who provide services to both children and adults in North Lincolnshire. With council staff spread across many locations this is a wide ranging and challenging role.

Since her appointment in 2011, Jo has been driving the service forward to embrace the changing relationships with her customers, particularly in relation to the challenges faced through the development of academies. In addition she is also looking at ways of increasing opportunities to work with local companies, her aim being to represent and promote the reputation of HR to operate professionally both within and outside of the organisation. Jo has worked in both the private and public sector and has undertaken a number of HR roles supporting a variety of services in the past 18 years. Ranging from environmental health and adult social care to finance and regeneration she has worked collaboratively with a range of people and gained a full understanding of their functions and business aims.

Jo is one of The HR People’s most rounded HR practitioners with direct experience of managing a specialist recruitment team and having worked in policy development. She manages the largest team in HR and is focussed on promoting a culture that supports innovation and continuous improvement. With accreditation in consultancy and as a professionally qualified performance management coach, Jo is always inquisitive, positive, thorough and determined to offer a high level of value for money service to our many customers.

 

Debbie Searles

Debbie SearlesA Chartered Member of CIPD, Debbie has 15 years’ experience working in human resources across a range of operational and strategic roles including HR strategy and performance, operational HR, organisational development and more recently health and safety. A valued member of the HR Management Team, Debbie currently leads teams responsible for HR strategy & performance and diversity.

Debbie has a special interest in HR metrics and management information. With strong analytical skills, she is proficient in analysing data and communicating complex information in a way that is both accessible and engaging for end users. She has been pivotal in developing this across the organisation and remains dedicated to continual improvement within this area. Debbie has also worked alongside external market research companies to deliver employee surveys. She also has extensive experience in strategy development, action planning and information governance.

Debbie is described as driven, engaging, focused and resilient with a real desire to add value for those she works with. Utilising her consultancy skills, she is committed to working collaboratively with colleagues and clients to understand and meet their needs. Debbie is a professionally qualified performance coach and uses her experience in this area to facilitate those around her to realise their full potential.
